Coaching Staff
Varsity Head Coach - Jackie Wilson
Wilson played volleyball at Capital University from 2004-2008. She was part of an OAC tournament champion team and the only two teams in Capital volleyball history to ever qualify for the NCAA tournament. During that time, Wilson was named the 2004 Ohio Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year. She was also a two time all-conference selection, 3 time all-conference academic honoree, two time ESPN the Magazine all-district selection, and was voted team captain and team MVP as a senior. She left Capital as the all-time dig leader with over 2,000 digs during her career. Wilson is a native of Lancaster, Ohio and now resides in Dublin with her husband Zach and daughters, Evelyn, Nora, and Ruth.
Coach Wilson is in her 14th season as Head Varsity Coach at Dublin Scioto. Previously, Wilson served as the varsity assistant at Hilliard Bradley High School (2009). She has also been coaching USAV club volleyball for 10 years with Southeast Volleyball Club, Vanguard, and Zenith Volleyball Academy. Her club teams were regional champions in 2006, 2013, and 2015 and national qualifiers in 2015.
Coach Wilson was awarded the OCC-Capital division Coach of the Year in 2018, 2019, and 2020 and Division I Central District Coach of the Year in 2020.
Varsity Assistant Coach - Zach Wilson
Zach Wilson is in his third season as the varsity assistant coach. He serves as the varsity boys head volleyball coach at Dublin Scioto High School as well.
Varsity Assistant Coach - Gweyn Zechman
Gweyn Zechman is Varsity Assistant coach. She spent 3 years as an assistant at Dublin Jerome High School. Gweyn has over 35 years of experience coaching volleyball at all levels from college (The Ohio State, New Mexico State, Washington State and Cameron University) high school, (Jerome, Grove City, Hilliard Davidson) to DYA. She coaches at Elite VBTC and played her college volleyball at New Mexico State University.
Junior Varsity Head Coach - Ashlyn Leon
Coach Leon is in her second season as the head JV coach at Dublin Scioto. She has previously coached club at Elite Volleyball Training Center and Evolution for four years, along with being the assistant coach at Ohio Dominican University in 2020. She is a graduate from Otterbein University where she majored in Allied Health and was the starting libero on the volleyball team for all four years. There, she was part of two OAC regular season championship teams, a pair of NCAA qualifying teams, and holds a few program records. Coach Leon is a Dublin Scioto Volleyball alumnus and played for Coach Wilson from 2012-2015 as a libero. She was part of Coach Wilson’s first team to play in the district finals along side Coach Ray!
Freshman Head Coach - Chelsea Ray
Coach Ray is in her third season as a coach at Dublin Scioto. She previously coached at Whetstone High School for five seasons (2016-2020), where she began as a varsity assistant coach and then became the head varsity coach. She is in her second year as a social studies teacher at Scioto, and previously taught in the Columbus City Schools district. She received both her Bachelors and Masters degrees from The Ohio State University. Coach Ray is a Dublin Scioto Volleyball alumni and played for Coach Wilson from 2011-2014 (first a setter, then a DS/OH). She was part of Coach Wilson's first team to play in the district finals.
