Madeline is a sophomore at DSHS. She has been playing volleyball for four years. Soccer had been Madeline's favorite sport and she played on a travel soccer team for three years leading up to 7th grade. When she made the volleyball team at Davis, volleyball quickly became her sport of choice!Madeline loves playing middle and offense but she also enjoys playing back row and defense too. She enjoys her high school team and teammates and is excited about the team cohesion and friendships she has made on Varsity, JV and Freshmen. She is looking forward to finishing the season strong! In addition to volleyball, Madeline enjoys hanging out with her friends, spending time with family, shopping, One Direction, basketball, and beating her siblings (and parents) at anything! She has spent numerous Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Fourth of July mornings volunteering with Meals on Wheels. At DSHS, Madeline is an Editor of the Yearbook staff as well as a member of Cabinet. Madeline's favorite subject in school is Social Studies/History. She went to D.C. again this summer with her grandparents as her birthday present from them. Madeline is not sure where she wants to go to college. She says she wants to go south or west but may end up in the Northeast. She has talked about University of South Carolina, Auburn, Stanford and Georgetown. She has expressed an interest in the medical field, FBI or a career in law. An unknown fact about Madeline: some people may wonder why her family calls her Madeline and not Maddie.....when she started at Davis in 6th grade, SHE changed her name to Maddie, therefore everyone she met from 6th grade moving forward only knows her as Maddie!
