Varsity Head Coach - Jackie Wilson
Jackie Wilson is entering her 16th season as the head varsity volleyball coach at Dublin Scioto High School, where she has built one of the most respected programs in central Ohio. Under her leadership, the Irish have captured six consecutive conference championships (2019–2024), three district titles (2021, 2023, 2024), and a regional runner-up finish in 2023.
Her success has been recognized at every level, earning seven OCC Coach of the Year honors (2018–2024), three Central District Coach of the Year awards (2020, 2023, 2024), and two State Coaches Achievement Awards (2023, 2024).
Before her coaching career, Wilson was a standout player at Capital University (2004–2008). She was part of an OAC Tournament Championship team and the only two squads in program history to qualify for the NCAA Tournament. As a freshman, she earned OAC Freshman of the Year honors (2004), and went on to become a two-time All-Conference selection, three-time Academic All-Conference honoree, two-time ESPN the Magazine All-District selection, and served as team captain and MVP as a senior. She graduated as Capital’s all-time digs leader with over 2,000 career digs.
A native of Lancaster, Ohio, Wilson now resides in Dublin with her husband, Zach, and their three daughters — Evelyn, Nora, and Ruth.
Varsity Assistant Coach - Zach Wilson
Zach Wilson is in his 5th season as the varsity assistant coach. He has served as the varsity boys head volleyball coach at Dublin Scioto High School previously as well.
Varsity Assistant Coach - Gweyn Zechman
Gweyn Zechman is Varsity Assistant coach. She spent 3 years as an assistant at Dublin Jerome High School. Gweyn has over 35 years of experience coaching volleyball at all levels from college (The Ohio State, New Mexico State, Washington State and Cameron University) high school, (Jerome, Grove City, Hilliard Davidson) to DYA. She has coached at Elite VBTC and played her college volleyball at New Mexico State University.
Junior Varsity-A Head Coach - Ashlyn Leon
Coach Leon is in her 4th season as the head JV coach at Dublin Scioto. She has previously coached club at Elite Volleyball Training Center and Evolution for four years, along with being the assistant coach at Ohio Dominican University in 2020. She is a lead coach at Apex Volleyball Club as well. She is a graduate from Otterbein University where she majored in Allied Health and was the starting libero on the volleyball team for all four years. There, she was part of two OAC regular season championship teams, a pair of NCAA qualifying teams, and holds a few program records. Coach Leon is a Dublin Scioto Volleyball alumnus and played for Coach Wilson from 2012-2015 as a libero. She was part of Coach Wilson’s first team to play in the district finals along side Coach Ricci!
Junior Varsity-B Head Coach - Chelsea Ricci
Coach Ricci is in her 5th season as a coach at Dublin Scioto. She previously coached at Whetstone High School for five seasons (2016-2020), where she began as a varsity assistant coach and then became the head varsity coach. She is in her third year as a social studies teacher at Scioto, and previously taught in the Columbus City Schools district. She received both her Bachelors and Masters degrees from The Ohio State University. Coach Ricci is a Dublin Scioto Volleyball alumnus and played for Coach Wilson from 2011-2014 (first a setter, then a DS/OH). She was part of Coach Wilson's first team to play in the district finals.
