A little known fact about McKenzie: She's actually a very good artist. She was recently honored by having her artwork hung in the Rhodes State Office Tower as part of the Ohio Governor's Youth Art Exhibition.
She doesn't know where she wants to go to school yet, but thinks she wants to pursue a career in dentistry.
Team co-captain, McKenzie (also Kenz or "Schu") is a junior at DSHS and has been playing volleyball for the last five years. She has been playing club volleyball for Columbus Volleyball Academy for three years and recently signed a contract this summer for her third year playing on their National/Open team. She was also selected from a pool of over 140 young women to represent the Ohio Valley Region in the USA Volleyball High Performance Championships this past summer.
McKenzie also participates in varsity track & field and holds records at Davis Middle School for High Jump and Shuttle Hurdle.
